TP 380,385,560X/Z,600,770/E/ED/X/Z - Receiving audio driver error in config.sys when booting to MS-DOS mode

SYMPTOM:
After upgrading the audio driver to version 2.80, when booting into MS-DOS mode, an error is received in the Config.sys file in reference to the audio driver CWBINIT.EXE.

CONFIGURATION:
Any Thinkpad 770 running Windows 95/98 with updated the audio features.

WORKAROUND:
Reboot the MS-DOS prompt, and edit the config.sys. Change line five to say CWDAUDIO.EXE.

1. Reboot the machine into MS-DOS mode by selecting Start ==> Shutdown ==> Restart in MS-DOS mode.
2. Type CD\ and press Enter. Type EDIT C:\CONFIG.SYS and press Enter.
3. Find the following line.... DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\CWBINIT.EXE /A
4. Replace the "B" in CWBINIT.EXE with a "D"
5. Save the file.
6. Type Exit at the command prompt and press Enter to reboot into windows 95.

The next time the system is booted into MS-DOS mode, the error message should not appear.
