Purpose:
Correct a flickering LCD back light, a buzzing noise from the area of the LCD or a blank LCD condition caused by an incomplete
connection.

Physical check:
The condition could occur on a 2625 Model 365X or XD with an 11.3 inch TFT LCD.
Prerequisites: NONE

Detail:
Some 11.3 inch TFT LCD displays on 2625 models in the FEATURES Section may experience a blank LCD, a flickering back light or a buzzing sound. These conditions can be caused by an incomplete connection between the LCD cable plug and the LCD cable connecter on the inverter card. The incomplete connection may also cause a scorching discoloration on the inverter in the vicinity of the connector.
When working on an LCD or if one of the above conditions occur check the inverter card connector for a scorching discoloration. If a discoloration is present replace both the LCD and inverter card with LCD FRU P/N82H8166 and Inverter card FRU P/N82H8167.
Notes:
Any heat caused by this condition is completely contained within the LCD assembly.
All FRU parts in stock are at the correct level.

This ECA's expiration date is 10/31/1998.
Order all FRU parts locally, and record Time and Material to service code 33, ECA 006, and OTHER OFFICE 990.
