The extraction process will NOT work with any other operating system. WARNING: THIS DRIVER CAN ONLY BE USED WITH THE MACHINES ON THE SUPPORTED LIST ON THIS PAGE. USE OF THESE DRIVERS WITH ANY OTHER MACHINE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Installation Procedure 1. Start Windows 98. 2. Extract the drivers onto the hard drive. 3. Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'. 4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you unpacked the driver files and press Enter. Default path is C:\DRIVERS\W9X\PCCARD\. 5. Open "Add New Hardware" and click "Next" twice. 6. If Windows 98 shows device list, select "No" and click "Next". 7. Select "No" and click "Next" since this driver should be manually installed. 8. Select "System devices" and click "Next". 9. Click "Have Disk ...". 10. Open the directory that this package is extracted. Default path is C:\DRIVERS\W9X\PCCARD 11. Windows 98 shows this driver name "PC Card Feature for SelectaDock I/II". Then click "Next". 12. Follow Windows 98 messages. And reboot the system. Uninstall procedure 1. Make sure all of PC Cards are removed from PC Card slots on system and docking station. 2. Open "Control Panel". 3. Open "System" and click "Device Manager" tab. 4. Click "System" and select "PC Card Feature for SelectaDock I/II". 5. Click "Remove" button. 6. Reboot the system. What files are contained in this diskette ? tpssctrl.vxd - The driver. ibmtphw.inf - An INF file needed to install this driver. Known Limitations 1. CardBus cards do not work in SelectaDock I/II. 2. IRQ 3 and 4 is not usable for PC Cards in SelectaDock I/II. 3. Ring Indicator resume is not supported in SelectaDock I/II. 4. Unattended install is not supported. 5. Hot/Warm undock is not supported. The system should be shut down when being removed from the SelectaDock I/II. 6. Suspend/Hibernation is not supported. You should not enable both of suspend and hibernation with SelectaDock I/II.
