Installation instructions
Note:
- Use this driver diskette only for the ThinkPad 770,770E,770ED.
- Before installing, make sure that you have installed the following software in the computer:
o Video Features Diskette for Windows 95
o Audio Features Diskette for Windows 95
The following software, which are included in the DVD Drive Option, or in the system (DVD Drive standard model) are required for DVD-video playback:
o DVD Movie for Window 95
o DVD Movie Region x for Window 95

DVD Movie Region Code Program is required to be re-installed
after this MPEG features diskette is installed.

1. Extract the downloaded drivers onto the hard drive.
2. Please make sure that your system has the DVD and Enhanced Video Adapter installed in the system.
3. If you are installing that the MPEG Features Diskette for Windows 95 for the first time:
a) Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager.
b) Select Other Devices and PCI Multimedia Device.
c) Select Remove; then click on OK.
To update the MPEG Features driver on the system:
a) Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager.
b) Select Sound, video and game controllers and IBM PCI MPEG 1/2 Decoder.
c) Select Remove; then click on OK.
d) Select Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.
e) Select IBM MPEG Device Drivers[mci].
f) Click on Add/Remove. This step removes the existing drivers from the system.
4. Restart the system.
5. During startup, the New Hardware Found dialog box appears.
6. Type C:\DRIVERS\W95\MPEG when prompted for diskette.
7. Follow the New Hardware Found dialog box instruction to install the driver from the hard drive.
8. If your system has a CD-ROM drive installed, you may need to set the drive letter for one of the MPEG devices that you installed. To do this use the following directions:
o Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Multimedia -> Advanced.
o Double-click on Media Control Devices.
o Select the IBM MPEG CD-i/VideoCD [mci] device and click on Properties.
o Click on Settings.
o Ensure that the drive letter shown represents the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive. If necessary, type a new drive letter.
o Click on OK.
o Click on OK.
o Click on OK.
o Close the Control Panel and My Computer windows.
National Language Support
Only some drivers will be available in other languages. If you do not see a listing like this for additional languages, then that driver is available in English only. The English driver will work in ALL countries. This driver is available in the following language format.
