Aptiva - Installing OS/2 Warp

There are several things that need to be checked before installing Warp on an Aptiva and these are as follows:-
1. In the CMOS settings make sure that the following are true:-
a. Rapid Resume is disabled.
b. Read Prefetch is disabled (this is not on some Aptiva's).
c. APM BIOS mode is set at 16-bit.
Note:
To enter the CMOS settings simply force a keyboard error by pressing a key down as soon as the machine is switched on and keeping the key down until the machine starts to 'beep' frantically.
2. Finally your hard drive should not be compressed unless this has been done by Stacker v4.0 for DOS and OS/2.
