Aptiva - Is the MS-DOS 6.22 installation diskette bootable?

The MS-DOS 6.22 Upgrade Setup Disk 1 is bootable and can be used to start up a computer if the hard drive is inaccessible or cannot be booted.
However, the MS-DOS Upgrade 6.22 "Setup program" does not run and will not install the MS-DOS 6.22 files onto the harddrive if there is no operating system on the computer. The MS-DOS Upgrade package is licensed, sold, and designed for users who have an existing copy of MS-DOS, or some other operating system, on their harddrive and who would like to upgrade to MS-DOS 6.22.
If your computer does not have an operating system installed, and you don't have your original operating system disks, you need to contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a copy of its OEM version of Microsoft MS-DOS 6.22.
