IBM PC - Updated PMI files

Service Information:
These files provide a temporary fix for PC Desktops using the S3-864 drivers in OS/2 Warp. Using these files you should be able to run high resolutions.
The S3-864 drivers can be obtained by clicking on the following icon :-
The updated PMI file can be obtained by clicking on the following icon :-
Install:
Follow the procedure shown below to install these files.
1. Using the Selective Install application install VGA support for the Primary Display. (Do not use the SETVGA command or ALT-F1 recovery option to do this.)
2. Reboot the system after the installation is complete.
3. Using the Selective Install application install the S3-864 driver that is provide by OS/2 Warp.
4. Reboot the system after the installation is complete.
5. Start an OS/2 Command Prompt and copy the PMI file from the diskette to the \OS2 directory. This will replace the old PMI file.If you are using a 17" or larger monitor then use the PMI file from the HIGHRES directory otherwise use the PMI file from the LOWRES directory. If you are unsure about your monitor then use the PMI file from the LOWRES directroy.
6. When done replacing the PMI file reboot the system. The installation is complete.
