PS/1-Aptiva - Moving the Windows 3.1 swapfile to a different partition

1. Open the Control Panel icon.
2. Open the 386 Enhanced icon.
3. Click on the Virtual Memory... button.
4. Click on the Change button.
5. In the New Settings window, click on the Drive down-arrow button.
6. Select the new drive on which you want to place the virtual memory swap file.
7. Change the Type in the New Settings window to match that shown in the Current Settings window.
8. Change the New Size value to match the Size shown in the Current Settings window.
9. Click on the OK button.
The next time Windows is started, the virtual memory swap file will be created on the selected drive.
Note: If a permanent swap file is selected, you should not choose a drive or partition that is compressed. Only a temporary type swap file can be successfully saved and used on a compressed partition.
