ISDN-S0 Active 2000 Adapter - X.25 protocol support
Applicable to: World-Wide
The Active 2000 does not support the full X.25 protocol stack on the adapter. The ISO 8208 protocol has been implemented which is a subset of the X.25 (DTE to DTE only) protocol. This protocol is used to support Euro Filetransfer.
Several CAPI applications are available that provide Euro Filetransfer capabilities.
Using the Active 2000 adapter with CM/2 or CS/2 the software could be configured to use CM/2's or CS/2's X.25 protocol stack, that means the protocol handling is done by CM/2 or CS/2's.
Communications Server for Windows NT 4.0 is not supported. By using RAS all common protocols such as TCP/IP, PPP, PPP Multilink Protocol (MP), NetBEUI, NetBIOS, and IPX/SPX are supported.
E. g.: For a 3270 communication you can use Personal Communication under NT and configure it by using the TCP/IP TelNet 3270 settings.
CM/2 ... Communications Manager/2
CS/2 ... Communications Server/2
