TP General - How to determine the appropriate SCSI ID for a device
Applicable to: World-Wide
When configuring a SCSI device attached to a docking station you want to ensure that you have the appropriate ID setup for your SCSI device. Generally your SCSI adapter will be set at SCSI ID 7. Any removable media, such as CD-ROM drives or Optical drives, you can generally set for SCSI ID's 3-6. For SCSI hard drives, you would generally set them for SCSI ID's 1-3. If you want the hard drive to be bootable, then you need to set it for SCSI ID 0.
