Aptiva - 2144/2168 (SL-H) Considerations: Problems importing .wav files in Aptiva Communication Center

Situation:
If a .wav is imported as a greeting under the "General" mailbox and played immediately after importing, an error occurs. This error occurs when selecting ôDone" from the "CHANGE GREETING" screen after you have played the imported .wav. There are two different errors; one, error #102, warns of a problem with a file and the other, error #814, is an internal error. Both are caused by the same problem and will cause problems with recording and playing ALL greetings in the Communication Center.
Reason:
The Mwave card leaves the .wav file open. Recording other .wav files will cause additional problems until the system is rebooted.
Answer:
The solution, once this problem occurs, is to close Communication Center, then re-open Communication Center and import the .wav without playing it from the CHANGE GREETING screen. If the .wav is imported and the user immediately selects Done rather than Play, he or she will not experience the problem. Once the user exits this screen, the Play will work from the CHANGE GREETING screen without any complications or errors.
