Aptiva - 2140/2142 Considerations - Aptiva Installer

Application shows in "Installed" folder after cancelling Install or Reinstall. Detail: If, during Install or ReInstall, you hit "CANCEL" and halt the install process, the icon for the application may still show in the "Installed" folder in Aptiva Installer. Answer / Workaround: This is due to the fact that Installer simply looks for the existance of certain files. If the Install process had the time to copy the file Installer is looking for, it will then be displayed as "Installed". The application must be Installed again to complete the install process, or UnInstalled. Severity: 3 Preload(s): Both

Mighty Number Heroes shows uninstalled aftr Kids Room Uninstall. Detail: If you Uninstall KidsRoom two times, Number Heros will then be displayed as Uninstalled, even though the two are not related. Answer / Workaround: The reason is because the HomeDirectory & ExeName in the AIW registry for MNH contains the data of "Add Programs to Kids Room" No known workaround at this time. Severity: 3 Preload(s): Both

Home Director Demo not listed in Installer. Detail: The icon for the Home Director DEMO is not listed in Installer. Answer / Workaround: The demo is not Installable/Uninstallable using Installer. There is only 35k of files for HomeDirector on the hardfile. The rest is on the DEMO CD. Severity: 4 Preload(s): Both
