TP 600 - Audio stutter after resuming from suspend
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
The first sound made after resuming from suspend will repeat continuously until shutdown.
Configuration:
Any ThinkPad 600 with Windows 95 and the Allow Windows to manage power use on this computer setting is disabled.
Solution:
Enable the Allow Windows to manage power use on this computer setting and then Reboot. To enable this setting open the ThinkPad Configuration program, then click on the battery icon (fifth one down on the right). This setting will be at the very top of the next window that appears. Make sure there is a check mark in this box.
Additional information:
Many of the 600 device drivers work with the power management utilities. When the power management is disabled, some of the device drivers will not operate correctly with regard to suspend/resume operations.
