G70 Monitors - Display fading (EMEA Only)

Applicable to: EMEA

Symptom: Monitor display fades or becomes dim after unit has been powered on for some time.

Problem Isolation Aids: All the following must be true for this tip to apply: - Monitor is G70 - 6544-403 - Manufacturing dates January 1997 to May 1997 inclusive. - Monitor has been powered on from cold for at least 5 minutes (some units may only show the problem after power on for 24 hours or more).

Resolution: Replace the monitor. Failing monitors should be returned to repair center by normal method. Mark the unit "fading raster symptom" to aid diagnosis.
