ThinkPad 380/385 8X CD-ROM Drive Upgrade - User's Guide Correction (US Only)

Supplement to the IBM ThinkPad 380/385 8X CD-ROM drive upgrade user's guide.
Performing the CD-ROM Test:
Use either the TrackPoint III or the cursor arrow keys to interact with the tests. Pressing the 'Enter' key works the same as selecting the OK icon to reply 'OK'.
A CD is required (any CD will do, but a data CD is recommended).
1. Attach the AC Adapter to the computer. Press and hold 'F1' and turn on the computer. Hold the F1 key down until the Easy-Setup screen appears.
2. Select 'Test' icon and press 'Enter' (or click on the 'Test' icon with the TrackPoint III).
3. Select CD-ROM and press 'Enter' to run the test (or click on the 'CD-ROM' icon with the TrackPoint III).
The test progress screen appears. 'OK' appears when the test ends without any errors.
4. Press 'Ctrl+A' to start the Advanced Diagnostic Test.
5. The ThinkPad FRU Connections screen appears. Ensure the CD-ROM is properly connected if the 'Not connected' message appears next to the CD-ROM. You may need to reseat the CD-ROM drive.
6. Click 'Exit' on the screen or press 'Esc' to exit the screen. The keyboard test screen appears.
7. Click 'Exit' on the screen or press 'Ctrl+Pause' to exit the screen.
8. Select 'CD-ROM' and press 'Enter' to start the tests (or click on the 'CD-ROM' icon with the TrackPoint III).
9. When the prompt for the CD-ROM test appears, type 'Y'.
The on-screen instructions will prompt you to insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive tray. When the CD-ROM drive passes all tests, an 'OK' will be displayed under the 'CD-ROM' icon.
