TP General - How to check Windows 95 to determine free resources

How to check Windows 95 to determine if required resources are free.
1. Click on "Start", then "Settings", and then "Control Panel".
2. Click on "System", then "Device Manager".
3. Double-click on "Computer" at the top of the Device Manager, this will open the properties for the system.
4. Click on the "Interrupt Request/IRQ" to check for used Interrupts. (Note: you may have to scroll the windows to see all the Interrupts.)
5. Click on the "Input/output I/O" to check for used IO Addresses. (Note: you may have to scroll the windows to see all the addresses.)
6. Click on the "Direct Memory Address" to check for used DMA's. (Note: you may have to scroll the windows to see all the DMA's.)
7. Click on the "Memory" to check for used segments of memory. (Note: you may have to scroll the windows to see all the memory.)
8. From these screens, you will be able to see if the resources you want are available. If they are not, you can either use what resources you found free to configure your device, or change some other devices to free up the necessary resources.
