Aptiva - How to install / uninstall IBM Antivirus

To remove the IBM Antivirus program from your computer:
1. Click on start, shutdown, and pick the option to restart in msdos mode. Then click on yes.
2. At the C:\WINDOWS prompt, type cd\ and press [ENTER]
3. At the C:\ prompt, type deltree ibmav95 and press [ENTER] and answer yes
4. Type exit and press [ENTER] to return to windows
This removes the program from your hard disk. To remove the icon, click on it with the right mouse button and then click
on delete.
To install \ reinstall IBM Antivirus:
1. Click on start, shutdown, and pick the option to restart in msdos mode. Then click on yes.
2. At the C:\WINDOWS prompt, insert the Aptiva Product Recovery CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the light to turn on
and then off
3. Then type C: and press [ENTER]
4. With restore.exe in the root directory of the C: drive*, type restore ibmav95\*.* and press [ENTER]
5. When this is done, type exit to return to windows and remove the CD
