Aptiva - 2156 - Red screen during application launch

Detailed problem description:
In video resolution mode 640X480 with 256 colors, whenever an application is opened a red background appears while waiting for the program to load.

Step by step problem reproduction:

Right click on the Desktop, choose Properties, Settings, and change the video mode to 640X480 with 256 colors
Restart the system.
Launch an application.
View screen.

Workaround:
The problem occurs because the background color loaded by default is not available in 256 color mode. It will appear correctly using the default video color depth of "High Color".
