TP 760,765 - PCMCIA Failure in EZSetup When PCI Bus is Set to IRQ 15
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
When testing the PCMCIA slots in EZSetup there is a failure.
CONFIGURATION:
ThinkPad 760E/ED/EL/ELD/XD/XL,765 with the PCI bus set to IRQ 15.
RESOLUTION:
When the test is run on the PCMCIA slots, it is assigned IRQ 15 which will cause the failure if the PCI bus is set to IRQ 15 as well. To resolve this issue you can move the PCI bus to IRQ 9 or 11 (note: some docking stations use IRQ 11 for the SCSI adapter). To change the PCI bus IRQ, you go into ThinkPad Features, click on the Docking Station icon, then Advanced, then click on the PCI button and set the first IRQ to 9 or 11.
