Netfinity 7000 M10 - Login to System Management Utility with a web browser fails

Abstract:
Login to System Management Utility through a web browser fails.

SYMPTOM:
Upon login to System Management Utility through Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser (versions below 3.0), an ERROR 404 screen will appear when attempting to move between screens. This situation occurs when the mouse is used to select the hyper-linked options of the System Management Utility Menu. This will not happen when using MS browser 3.0 or newer.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
- The system is a Netfinity 7000 M10 server, Type 8680, any model.

- The system's Diagnostics pass.

- The system is configured with Windows NT.

- The system is configured with Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser version below 3.0.

- The system displays error message: "ERROR 404"

WORKAROUND:
At the ERROR 404 screen, use the BACK button of the browser to return to the main menu and manually enter the hyper-linked option number using the keyboard. Use the submit button and mouse to enter the selection.
