Question:
Whenever I open a new word processor document I get text from a previous document appearing on the screen.
Answer:
This person has saved the document as word1.wps- the default word processing document. To overcome this problem open the new word processing document, then go to the FILE menu and choose 'SAVE AS'. Make sure there is an 'X' next to the 'SAVE AS TEMPLATE' box. Close the document - now when a new word-processing document is opened a blank screen will properly appear.
Question:
I am trying to print a spreadsheet but only the 1/a cell appears to be printed.
Answer:
This problem has occurred because the person has chosen to only to print 1 cell. To overcome the problem, highlight the cells to be printed, then go to the 'PRINT' menu and choose 'SET PRINT AREA'.
Question:
In a particular cell/row/column all of the numbers I previously typed in correctly now appear as '######'.
Answer:
This person has formatted the cells improperly- to solve the problem select the incorrectly formatted cells, then go to the FORMAT menu and choose 'GENERAL' (the default). This should restore the cells to their proper format.
