Aptiva - 2161 'Speakerphone' telephony problems

Symptom:
When using the Aptiva as a speakerphone there is no sound input using the microphone.
Problem Isolation Aids:
Check the telephony sound cable Part No. 76H1616 (manufacturing) and 76H1617 (FRU Part Number). If date code on cable I/D label is before week 10/97 (1097). Replace the cable using 76H1617.
Fix:
Replace cable using FRU 76H1617. If problem persist after replacing cable, continue with normal problem determination.
