Installable code not present on Utility CD.

Detail:
All applications were to be Installable, Uninstallable and ReInstallable. Several application did not comply with this requirement, AudioStation is one of them.

Answer / Workaround:
If there is corruption within the AudioStation application, you may reload the files in the AudioStation directory (C:\VOYETRA\AS2). However, depending on the issue, the user may need to reload the entire system.

Severity: 2

CD Playlist selection sometimes doesn't work properly.

Detail:
The Playlist function should remember the selected tracks if you eject the CD and reinsert while AudioStation is still running. To recreate, create a Playlist for an audio CD in AudioStation, NOTE: DO NOT include Track-1 on the CD. Eject the CD, while leaving AudioStation running. Reinsert the same audio CD, press play. It should continue to play the same playlist as before. Sometimes it will bring up the Playlist settings again, without any tracks selected.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a known problem with AudioStation which effects any system currently with AudioStation preloaded. It will be addressed in the next version of AudioStation. Is a limitation for now.

Severity: 3

WAV Player won't record entire MIDI sample.

Detail:
If you try to play a MIDI file, and record it using the WAV player in Audiostation, after a period of time it will return an error and stop recording.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a limitation of both AudioStation and the Crystal drivers. No workarounds available at this time.

Clicking Play while a CD is playing resets the track.

Detail:
If you press the EZButton "CD Play" button, or click on "PLAY" on the CDPlayer in AudioStation while a CD is already playing, it will reset the track and begin playing from the start of that track again.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a known problem with AudioStation, it does not disable the PLAY function as other CD applications do. This will be addressed in the next version.

Floating Point Errors with Audiostation.

Detail:
In Audiostation, while playing a music CD, a MIDI sample, AND recording on the WAV player, you will get a "Floating Point error: Square Root of Negative Number" with the ORCH.EXE, AUDIOVIW.EXE, and MIDIPlay.EXE. You may also get an error that reads "Audio View Disk could not keep up with digital audio rate."

Answer / Workaround:
This is a limitation of both AudioStation and the Crystal drivers. Close AudioStation and relaunch. Problem will not occur unless you are playing both a music CD AND a MIDI sample while recording a WAV file. No workarounds available at this time.

Audiostation not repainting correctly after cancelling Aptivaize.

Detail:
If you have Audiostation running at the time you start the Aptivaize process, but then you cancel the process, Audiostation will not repaint correctly.

Answer / Workaround:
To force Audiostation to repaint, open another window or application and drag it across Audiostation. Or you can simply close and reopen Audiostation.

AudioStation CD player inconsistent behavior with DVD discs.

Detail:
If AudioStation CD Player is already launched and a DVD disc is inserted into the drive, AudioStation reports 'No Disc' and an attempt to play it results in the message that 'there is no disc in the drive'. If however the DVD disc is in the drive already and the user makes an attempt to launch AudioStation CD player, the message states that 'the CD Drive is in use'.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a result of the messages which Windows95 sends to the CDPlayer. There is no functional difference, only that the user may not understand the messages being given.

Severity: 4
Preload(s): Both

CD Player doesn't reset position for new CD after pause.

Detail:
To recreate: 1) Play a CD through the AudioStation CD player, 2) Pause it, 3) Press the Eject button on the drive (not on the CD Player application), 4) Insert a different CD, 5) Once it settles in, click on the play button on AudioStation. Note that the new CD is played from the same track, same time as where the previous CD had been paused.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a limitation of the CD player in AudioStation. You can stop the CD, allowing it to reset, then start again on the desired track.

Severity: 4

Detail:
Music plays after restarting computer until Windows95 GUI loads. Procedure 2: Restart while music CD is playing AudioStation with ONLY the CD player on screen, music stops playing when message says wait for computer to shut down, then once computer starts booting up, music comes back on until GUI is loaded.

Answer / Workaround:
This is a limitation of AudioStation. Will be looked into for the next release. No workarounds available at this time.

Note that the buttons and slides change to correct color, but the rest of the AudioStation display doesn't change. Also, minimizing Audiostation doesn't correct the problem.

Answer / Workaround:
