Aptiva - 2140/2142 Considerations - GamePad (USB)

USB Gamepad not working properly. Detail: The USB GamePad (AP-South and Japan ONLY) is not working properly. Answer / Workaround: Make certain that "Alps Interactive USB Gamepad" is selected in the Joystick Properties under Control Panel. DOS games running outside Windows95 will NOT have Gamepad support. The game MUST be run from within Windows95, or DOS Box. Severity: 4 Preload(s): Both

There are no drivers for the USB gamepad on the US utility CD. Detail: Both the IT1US and IT2US preload CD's and Utility CD's do not include any drivers for the USB gamepad. Answer / Workaround: The drivers are not included on the US preloads since there are no US models which use the Gamepad. The preloads for the geographies which use the Gamepads do contain the appropriate drivers. (Japan / APSouth). Severity: 2 Preload(s): Both
