PS/1-Aptiva - Draw file filters supplied with Works for Windows

Microsoft Draw, an OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) Server included with Microsoft Works for Windows, has internal support for importing the following types of graphics files:
Bitmap (.BMP)
Windows metafile (.WMF)
In addition, it can import the following types of graphics files if the import filters have been installed on the system:
Computer graphics metafile (.CGM)
Paintbrush (.PCX)
Tagged Image File Format (.TIF)
NOTE: The following graphic import filters are installed with Works when you choose a complete installation:
Windows metafile (.WMF)
Computer graphics metafile (.CGM)
Paintbrush (.PCX)
Bitmap (.BMP)
Tagged Image File Format(.TIF)
If one of these converters is not installed, do a Custom Installation of Works for Windows and choose Converters for Word Processor and Graphics from the list of options.

To import a graphics file using Draw, do the following:
1. Create a Word Processor file in Microsoft Works.
2. From the Insert menu, choose Drawing.
3. From the File menu in Draw, choose Import Picture.
If the graphics file you want to import is in one of the above formats but is not listed in the Import Picture dialog box, the import filters are not installed.
To see which graphics file import filters are installed in the system, open the Windows WIN.INI file in a text editor and examine the [MS Graphic Import Filters] section.
If the filters for Microsoft Works are not installed, reinstall Microsoft Works, select Custom Installation from the Setup Options dialog box, and select "Converters for Word Processor and Graphics" only.
