Abstract:
This CD provides the basic education required by anyone who needs to install, configure and implement IBM Network Station Manager Release 3 on a server (S/390, AS/400, RS/6000 or PC) that provides boot services to a network of IBM Network Stations.

It includes a series of 30 presentations using the multimedia facilities of the Eloquent player (supplied on the CD) that range from what is a Network Station and how does it work, to how to install a server, to more advanced topics such as problem determination.

It is meant for new users with little or no knowledge of the IBM Network Station, as well as for advanced users who need to review the new features of release 3 or to get a refresher on selected topics. The only prerequisites are a basic understanding of one of the server platforms and a basic working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

1. The CD also includes all the redbooks (in PDF format) that are relevant to the topics discussed during the different presentations (one of which is a tutorial on TCP/IP) and a soft copy of the original Freelance Graphics files for all presentations.
