Other considerations when running your Thinkpad 770Z

When multi-monitor function is enabled, video playback with hardware overlay is supported on the CRT only.

1600 x 1200 60 Hz mode is not supported on external CRT.

You cannot play MPEG files in PAL mode on the external TV under Windows NT.

Video connections on the ThinkPad 770Z can be disconnected when power management is invoked.

When using the full screen guest video mode with Intel Video Phone on the 1280 x 1024 display 770Z model, the application inserts a blue line across the bottom of the screen to maintain the correct aspect ratio.

During video and audio playback, avoid changing video modes or using suspend and hibernate.

DVD Express is not supported under Windows 95 OSR 0 and OSR 1.0.

The ThinkPad 770 DVD and Enhanced Video Adapter (part number 11J8957) is not supported on the ThinkPad 770Z. Use the DVD and Enhanced Video Adapter part number 10L1228.

Video capture, video overlay, and MPEG playback DVD movie function is not supported in the following video modes:

1600 x 1200 resolution

1280 x 1024 85 Hz on CRT display

1024 x 768 70 Hz or higher, refresh rate on CRT display

All true color (16M) modes

Virtual screen mode (such as 1280 x 1024 on an LCD)

DVD movie titles cannot be played with MediaPlayer; use the DVD movie application.

IBM MPEG2 and ZV card cannot be used simultaneously.

3D acceleration does not work in 256 color mode.

LCD expansion is not supported in 16M color mode.

ThinkPad 770Z supports SDRAM only. You cannot use EDO memory.

Under DOS, you can use up to 7.9 GB of the 14.1 GB or 8.1 GB HDD. This is a limitation of DOS.

LANDesk Client Manager (LDCM) cannot be installed if Netfinity has already been installed. Netfinity and LDCM may conflict with each other.

Double-clicking on objects in the TrackPoint Magnifying Glass window is not supported; single-clicking is supported.

If CardBus card is in use, other PCMCIA card may not be hot-plugged.

When one CardBus card is already configured in the system slot or Docking Station slot, the second CardBus card must be configured with the system icon in the Control Panel. The second CardBus card will not be configured automatically.

CardWorks does not work on the shrink wrap version of Windows 95. Use the native PC Card driver.

System does not enter suspend mode when an external MIDI device is attached. To prevent this symptom from occurring, detach the external MIDI device.
