Aptiva - How to chart negative values in Microsoft Works

Applicable to: United States

You can sometimes chart negative values in MS Works, depending on the type of chart you are creating. The rules for charting negative values are as follows:

1. Negative values can be plotted in simple bar, multiple bar, simple line, multiple line, mixed bar and line, XY, and hi-lo close charts. In these charts, negative values are plotted below the X-axis.

2. Negative values will not be plotted as negative values in pie charts, stacked bar charts, 100 percent bar charts, or area line charts. Negative values will be converted to, and plotted as, positive values.
