SYMPTOM:
MIDI files appear to install normally (no errors during install) but will not function. The following error message occurs when attempting to play a MIDI file "There are no midi devices installed on this system. Use the Multimedia options to install the device"
CONFIGURATION:
Thinkpad 760ED with Windows NT 4.0
SOLUTION:
The device drivers and sample files MUST be installed in the following order:
1. ThinkPad Features
2. Video Device Driver
3. MWave Drivers
4. MIDI Sample Files
When done in this order, MIDI will function correctly.
