TP 770 - SoftDVD player fails to play movies

SYMPTOM:
The SoftDVD player fails to play DVD movies when the drivers WINASPI.DLL and WNASPI32.DLL are backdated by installing a SCSI device such as a Jazz drive or an application that effects the ASPI drivers. The level of the drivers that is known to work properly is 08/24/96.
CONFIGURATION:
Any DVD-enabled 770
SOLUTION:
If an Adaptec SCSI device is installed:
Update the ASPI (Advanced SCSI Programming Interface) Layer as follows:
Download and apply ASPI32.EXE from the Adaptec web site at:
http://www.adaptec.com/support/files/upgrades.html#ezscsi
Next, delete the file listed below, if it is there.
(In order to see all files in this directory, Go to Windows Explorer and select "Options" from the View menu. On this panel, select to "Show all files".)
