PS/1 - How do I backup my fixed disk for a PS/1 Model 2141, 2133 or 2155?

Follow the procedures below to backup your fixed disk on a PS/1 Model 2141, 2133, or 2155:

1) Start Microsoft Windows.

2) From the PS/1 TOOLS group, choose the PS/1 Fitness icon.

3) From PS/1 Fitness, choose the PS/1 Backup/Restore icon.

4) From the PS/1 Backup/Restore screen, there are several options to choose for backing up:

- CREATE: This first option creates a backup copy of the original PS/1 software on diskettes. Choose this option if it is your first time backing up the system to diskettes.

You must use 3.5" 2.0MB diskettes (1.44MB when formatted). When the CREATE option is selected, you will be informed as to the number of blank diskettes that will be needed and how to label the diskettes. This option will also create a PS/1 RECOVERY diskette.

- BACKUP: This option will backup only the changes that you have made to the fixed disk onto diskette. Therefore, this option backs up programs you have installed and data you have created since the original backup procedure (which is accomplished through the CREATE option). It is recommended that you use new diskettes for every other backup. This will prevent you from backing up over your last backup.

**The CREATE option will be available until you use the ERASE option!
