Color Flatbed Scanner - Image appearing with a shadow in Xerox Pagis SE

Environment:
Windows 95 or Windows NT, Xerox Pagis SE version 1.0, Scanner Setup version 1.02 or later.
Symptom:
Scanning a document containing both text and photo images (e.g., magazine article) appears with a shadow or black line on the top and topside of the image.
Problem Recreation:
- The document to be scanned contains both text and photo images (e.g., magazine article.)
- Select "SCAN" from the Pagis Scan Tool.
- The non-text part of the image will appear with a shadow or black line on the top and topside of the image.
Temporary Solution:
None available.
Permanent Solution:
Install the scanner update titled "IBM Scanner Update Version P002" that was provided with the IBM Color Flatbed Scanner or download the Flatscan.exe.

- Select: Options
- Select: Flatscan.exe
Verification:
The scanner update replaces the file, "XIMAGE.DLL". To verify that the update has been installed, check the size and date of the file.
