TP General - How to configure COM Ports for Terminal, HyperTerminal, and HyperAccess.
Applicable to: World-Wide
This document contains instructions on how to configure COM Port and Modem Settings under Windows 3.1x (Terminal), Windows 95 (HyperTerm), and OS/2 Warp (HyperAccess Lite.)
Windows 95:
1. Click on "Start", then "Programs", then "Accessories", then "HyperTeminal".
2. Click on the "Hypertrm" Icon, or Previous Saved Icon.
3. Enter Phone Number to Connect if New Connection.
4. On the connect Windows, Click the "Modify".
5. Select Desired Modem from "Connect Using".
6. To modify the Modem Settings click on "Configure".
7. Click OK to accept, and "Dial" to connect.
Windows 3.1x:
1. Doubleclick on "Accessories", then "Terminal".
2. Click on "Settings", then "Communications".
3. Change COM port using the "Connector" Box.
4. Other Modem Settings are on this same window.
OS/2 Warp (HyperAccess Lite):
1. Doubleclick on "HyperAccess Lite" Icon.
2. Select Desired Connection, or New.
3. Select "Properties", then "Comunications" (New Connection will open this automatically.)
4. Make Changes as Desired.
