TP 365CD/ED - How to install audio support for OS/2
Applicable to: World-Wide
The following procedures list how to install Audio Support in OS/2 V3.0 and V4.0 on a ThinkPad 701, 365CD/ED.
Click here to obtain the diskette 
1. Start OS/2.
2. Insert the T hinkPad Audio Features Diskette for OS/2 into the diskette drive.
3. Double click on the OS/2 System icon.
4. Double click on the Command Prompts icon.
5. Double click on the OS/2 Window icon.
6. If this is a re-install or upgrade then type A:\ESUNINST and press the enter key otherwise move on the next step.
7. Type A:\MINSTALL and press the enter key.
8. Select the source drive as A:
9. From the list that appears select AudioDrive ES688 . A check mark appears next to the items once selected.
10. Click on the INSTALL button and follow the directions on the screen.
11. When completed perform a Shutdown and reboot the computer.
Note: Only CD-ROM equipped ThinkPad 365 systems have audio support
Below are the lines added to the Config.sys file after the audio drivers are installed:
DEVICE=C:\MMOS2\ES688DD.SYS /B220 /D1 /I10 /N:ES6881$
DEVICE=C:\MMOS2\AUDIOVDD.SYS ES6881$
