PS/1 - Changing Modem Baud Rate or Speed

The modem connect speed is normally set by an option in your communication program. Refer to the program manual of your communication software for specific instructions on changing the connection speed.
There is no way to increase the speed of a modem without replacing the modem. For instance, 2400 bps modems will not operate at any speed beyond the maximum rated speed (2400 bps).
