TP General/Aptiva - ConfigSafe Tips
Applicable to: World-Wide
Take a manual snapshot before and after installing new software and hardware. This way, if you encounter problems, you can easily return to your previous configuration.
Name your manual snapshots something that will remind you of the changes made to your system. For example, Before installing modem software.
NOW is not a snapshot. The default setting of the Changes Ending bar on the main ConfigSafe screen is Now. This is not a recorded snapshot, but rather a static configuration with which ConfigSafe is comparing the snapshot listed in the Changes Starting bar. To save the configuration settings shown in Now, a snapshot must be taken.
On-line Help is available by pressing F1 from anywhere inside the ConfigSafe program.
