TP General - Screw torquing process

Applicable to: World-Wide

TEXT:
Loose screws can cause a verity of problems with ThinkPad systems - from intermittent failures to broken parts. To prevent
this a torque process has been developed that pertains to all screws in ThinkPad devices.

TORQUE PROCESS:
ThinkPad screws should be tightened another 90 or 180 degrees once the items to be clamped are touching with no discernible
space between them. The number of degrees is based on the composition of the material being clamped.

This chart details the number of degrees needed to further tighten the screw to obtain the correct amount of torque.
