TP 760E - Selectadock Power On Errors

The following Tip applies to the TP760E Series.
Symptom:
When Thinkpad is docked in Selectadock I the system fails to boot/power on the first or several times. Although there is HDD Activity nothing is displayed on the screen and the operating system installed does not BOOT.
Problem Isolation Aids:
Old level SelectaDock system board FRU.
Leak current from pin50 of U20 (-EVENT line) lifts VCC5V line, and this causes power-on sequence errors.
Fix:
Add a diode to the reference line.
Old FRU P/N 39H7422 has been replaced.Please order and install New FRU P/N 39H7452, EC E67327.
Fix is applied from S/N 97-34259 and the EC level identification number I0004 is printed on the label of the box.
Note:
The EC number is not printed on the label.
