Aptiva - Using DOS instead of Windows 95 to load games

Symptom:
Customer runs mostly DOS based applications (games) bought a Windows 95 based unit because "it's the latest and greatest". Customer still desires to run ONLY the DOS based games and wants to see a DOS prompt without going into Windows 95 or going to the Windows 95 Boot Menu (F8).
Problem Isolation Aid:
None
Fix:
1. Start the computer and go into Windows 95.
2. Go to START->PROGRAMS->MS-DOS PROMPT and click once.
3. Type EDIT C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT and press Enter.
4. Move the cursor down to the last line of the AUTOEXEC.BAT and press Enter.
5. Type C:\COMMAND.COM and press Enter.
6. Click on FILE and SAVE. Followed by FILE and EXIT.
7. Type EXIT and press Enter.
8. Go to START->SHUTDOWN and click once.
9. From the SHUT DOWN WINDOW choose the RESTART THE COMPUTER option and press YES.
The computer should now come up in DOS mode. Typing EXIT or WIN will start Windows 95.
