The program used to make the BIOS diskette self-extracting does not support Windows NT. This program does support all operating systems which were preloaded on Aptiva systems that require BIOS updates. This bootable diskette updates the BIOS level of 2161 and 2162 systems Updates in this level of BIOS: - Fixed ATAPI drive detection issue
OBTAINING AND EXTRACTING THE UPDATE 1) Format a high density 3.5" diskette. VFLASH.EXE creates a bootable diskette which updates the BIOS on the INSTALLING THE UPDATE *** DO NOT TURN OFF OR REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM WHILE UPDATING THE *** 1) Shut the system down normally. Be sure it is powered off, not suspended. |
