Aptiva - How to enable / disable the CD AutoPlay feature in Windows 95

To disable AutoPlay:
1. From the Windows 95 desktop, click on: START ->, Settings ->, and Control Panel.
2. Double click on the 'System' icon.
3. Click on the 'Device Manager' tab.
4. Double click on CD-ROM.
5. Your CD-ROM drive should appear indented, beneath CD-ROM
6. Highlight your CD-ROM device and then click 'Properties.'
7. Click on the 'Settings' tab
8. Remove the check from 'Auto Insert Notification' to disable AutoPlay. Then click on OK twice AutoPlay is now disabled. To enable AutoPlay, simply insert the check next to 'Auto Insert Notification' and click OK twice. You will have to restart the computer for changes to take effect.
