Aptiva - How to install / uninstall Great Word Adventure
Applicable to: United States
To install Great Word Adventure onto your Aptiva:
1. From Windows 95 desktop, double click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Insert the Great Word Adventure CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the drive light to turn on and then off.
3. Click on the "find install program" button if application was not installed previously or if installed
previously, select "show uninstalled programs" tab.
4. Click on the GWA icon to highlight it and then click on install
5. At the installation welcome screen, click next
6. At install options screen, click on install GWA.
7. An info screen appears, click OK here
8. When the destination dialog box appears, the directory should be C:\7THLEVEL\GREATWRD. Under installation type, click on full install and then click next.
9. After it is done, a select program folder box will appear. Click next here to accept 7th level as the default program folder
10. At the info dialog box, click OK
11. You will return to the 7th level install options.
Note: You may click exit now to return to your desktop. On the GWA CD, there is a file in the G:\GREATWRD directory which contains a file called twreadme.txt which contains helpful trouble shooting tips as well as installation instructions.
To uninstall Great Word Adventure from your hard disk:
1. Double click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Click on the show installed programs tab
3. Highlight the GWA icon by clicking on it once
4. Then click on the uninstall button.
5. Click yes at the following dialog box to confirm deletion.
6. When the process is complete, click on OK.
7. This will return you to the show installed programs screen. You can click exit to return to your desktop
Note: The Great Word icons may not be removed from the Start Menu until the system is shutdown and restarted.
