Aptiva - Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 updates

This document provides links to a collection of updates that will optimize Aptiva systems using Internet Explorer 4.0.
Access Aptiva (Models 2140, 2142 Only)

The files in this document will apply an update to the Access Aptiva application on your Aptiva Model 2140 or 2142 system. This update is required if you have installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. Without this update applied, Access Aptiva will be displayed as a blank white block and will not function. Some Aptiva models may already contain the Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 on CD. If you received this CD with your computer, you do not need to apply this update. All necessary updates are included on that CD.
Microsoft DirectX 5.0 / Crystal Audio drivers (Models 2140, 2142 Only) (Click here to obtain files)
The files in this document will update your computer with Microsoft DirectX 5.0, and the latest audio drivers. If you have installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or another application which requires DirectX 5.0, you must install this update. This update applies ONLY to IBM Aptiva model 2140 or 2142 that did not include Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. If Internet Explorer 4.0 was included with your computer, you do not need to apply this update. All necessary updates have already been made for you.
