Aptiva - Non-US model service and support information

Applicable to: China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico

Please use the following procedure for support calls on Aptivas that are not US models (Most recently European model 2168-932).

You must verify with the International Warranty Service (IWS) ring group that the machine has been registered before offering any support. Support is offered during IWS hours of operation only. IWS hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., United States east coast time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

If the customer is not registered for IWS, please contact IWS so they can begin the registration process. Please warm transfer the customer to X 70005.

IWS will validate whether the customer is entitled to support.
ONLY IWS CAN VALIDATE WARRANTY OF THESE MACHINES ! !
A DATED RECEIPT IS NOT A VALID POW FOR A NON-US MODEL APTIVA

After you have verified with IWS the machine is registered, we are obligated to provide hardware diagnostic support. Do not replace country-specific hardware such as modems and power cords.* Keyboards should only be replaced if defective.

Software is not warranted or supported under the terms and conditions of IWS.

* European modems and power cords will not work in the US. The customer will need to purchase a US modem and/or power cord.
