9524-T01 Touch Screen Monitor - Dead or blank

Symptom :
The 9524-T01 (14PT) touch-screen monitor appears blank or dead.
Problem Isolation Aids :
This symptom is typically diagnosed as a defective card-tray assembly; however, in this case, replacing the card-tray FRU does not correct the problem. In some cases, the card-tray is replaced multiple times by servicers suspecting defective FRU stock.
Fix :
Replace the 9524-T01 ITC assembly, FRU p/n95G9204. Failure analysis has shown that a small cable connecting the ITC to the touch-screen circuitry of the card-tray may fail, creating the above symptom. This is not the typical cause of a blank or dead monitor, so should not be suspected until the card-tray has been replaced.
