IdeaScan Color Flatbed Scanner - Scanner buttons will not work

Problem:
The Buttons on the scanner will not work.
Solution:
The scanner buttons require EZ Station to operate. The program must be open for the buttons to operate. The EZ Station setting must be set to "Enable Buttons". Also check to see that the scanner signal cable is firmly attached to the scanner and system parallel port.
