TP 760 - Pre-Loaded OS/2 Warp
Applicable to: World-Wide
Service Information:
Pre-Loaded OS/2 Warp on TP760 If you are having problems with a Think Pad 760 (ANY MODEL) with a pre-load of OS/2 Warp on it make sure that PCMCIA support is ENABLED in the System Setup under Selective Install in OS/2. Pre-loaded Warp on a Think Pad ships with the PCMCIA support NOT INSTALLED. So the PCMCIA adapter will show up in the slot under PC Card Director, say its ready, pass diags and do everything BUT WORK! Even if you look in the files there will be no indication that the PCMCIA support is not enabled. So if diags pass and the adapter shows up in Card Director but the LanTran.Log is reporting there is no adapter, verify the PCMCIA support is installed. Once selected it will only give the option for Think Pad models up to 755CD which will work for a 760.
