TP General - Windows NT does not recognize new SCSI CD-ROM

Applicable to: World-Wide

Symptom:
ThinkPad running Windows NT with PCMCIA SCSI adapter does not recognize a new IBM SCSI CD-ROM device.

Note: Because the CD-ROM was not present when Windows NT was installed, NT did not start the CDFS device in the Device Applet.

Resolution:
Change the CDFS Setting of the SCSI CD-ROM device from "Disabled" to "Automatic."
