IBM PC330/PC350 - L2 Cache 128K upgrade chips
Applicable to: World-Wide
Service Information:
The PC300 i486 requires a 15ns cache TAG chip, but the four data chips can be 15ns or 20ns. If the cache is factory-fitted then 20ns data chips are used to save cost. However if the user adds cache later via option OM2128Y , this contains five 15ns chips. This avoids the possibility of the user fitting the wrong chip in the TAG socket.
