Procedures on Installing the Infrared Device Driver for OS/2
The infrared device driver for OS/2 supports networking over an infrared link with the IBM Multi-Protocol Transport Service (MPTS) software. It is installed as a Network Device Interface Specification Version 2 (NDIS2) compliant network adapter driver when you install and configure the MPTS networking software that comes with OS/2 Warp Connect, OS/2
Warp Server, or TCP/IP for OS/2. Refer to the respective networking software publication for installation procedures.
The README file on the Infrared Features Diskette II also contains additional information.
To install the infrared device driver:
1. Start OS/2.
2. Go to the OS/2 command prompt and insert the Infrared Features II Diskette into the diskette drive.
3. Type the following and press Enter.
A:\INSTALL2 /S:A:\ /T:x:<target_directory> /B:y:
where x is the target drive and "y" is the boot drive in which CONFIG.SYS exists.
